I feel you. There are a lot of Oppos with pretty damn nice cars, and especially with the younger ones, it’s pretty easy to feel jealous or resentful. But play your cards right, and we’ll both get there eventually. Keep your stick on the ice, I’m pulling for you.

Yeah it bothers me too sometimes when I see other people my age so times complaining about their super nice cars and I’ve got my Corolla. I try to remember if I was in the same position I wouldn’t turn down the super nice car either

Thanks, I did a lot of preventative work when I bought it in February, I’m 21 and its the first car I bought myself (used to have my grandmas crown Vic). I’m doing everything I can to make it last. One day I’d love to have a WRX. That's my current dream car. I could have really rolled the dice and got an old super high mileage and rusty one but I went with my logic mind and need to have a reliable daily driver with good gas mileage of commuting to college and work (45 miles per day 5 days per week) that would last.

Good stuff. It sounds like you’ve got a good plan and think things through, which is an excellent trait to have, especially when it comes to cars. Once you get working (and over 25 because of insurance), a WRX should be pretty attainable. Keep at it!

You know what I drove when I was 21? A 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. I was also in college then, so that car was at my parents house, since parking was too expensive at college. I graduated and bought my M3 at 24, my obtainable dream car. Hard work pays off and dreams do come true.

Yep I’ve just started a new job where many of the employees come from a “privileged” background so I turn up in my Twingo and almost get looked down upon. But at the end of the day I still have a smile on my face when I drive it but they drive their 3 series and ct200h just to say that they have it.

Well, that’s how it works there. They have a lexus I have a base spec renault so yeah. At the end of the day though, when that badge defines your personality not because say you’re in a car club and made friends that way, but literally because it’s thought of as prestige. Thats pretty sad.

It is a Lexus in the same way that Hawkeye is an avenger. You know what I mean? It’s a Corolla/prius with a nicer interior. Like it got into the Lexus camp on a technicality. A ct200 is what you buy when you can’t afford a REAL Lexus like a fully loaded GS.
